Tony and I took a bike trip down to Clarksdale, Mississippi last summer. We had a great time at Morgan Freeman's club, "Ground Zero". There's not much that good blues and fried catfish won't cure!
I recently left my lifelong career as an educator of young special needs children to pursue "new stuff". My husband gave me my first Canon (an AE1,to those of you who remember film) and I began my passionate relationship with photography. Tony and I spent many weekends camping and horseback riding and my camera was always tucked away in the saddlebags. One thing led to another and I was asked to photograph a friend's daughter's wedding. I was hooked! My photographer friends say I'm crazy... that weddings are tension filled nightmares! I've found them to be a very different experience. Everyone is happy. Everyone is beautiful. I get to document a beautiful and sacred event. What a blessing!
I also photograph children, families, seniors and couples in love (aka "lovey-doveys") I enjoy it all! I give each session all the time needed to make a connection. That connection shows in the portrait. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. When I can capture that essence I've had a great day! tt
